Afriglobal Medicare Ltd in conjunction with Nagode Foundation has organized Free Medical Screening in the area of Diabetes, Hypertension and General Medical Examination.
This is part of her annual Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) activities tagged “Know Your Health Status”
The screening, which held at the community town hall in Okokomaiko/Amukoko area in Lagos for all residents was meant to address the major health challenge we have in Nigeria where many people do not visit the hospital for medical checkups until they at the point of deaths.
One of the beneficiaries interviewed the Baale(Chief) of the Afromedia community in Okokomaiko commended the effort of the Afriglobal Medicare and Nagode Foundation for bringing good health to them as many could not afford medical bills at various conventional health facilities. He also noted that by offering free medical treatments to members of the society, most deaths could be avoided.
In his remarks, coordinator of the programme, Mr. Adebayo Popoola said he was impressed by the turnout of people to receive the free medical treatment as hundreds of people were screened. He also hinted that same will be replicated in different parts of the state, as a way of contributing to the well-being of the people.
